Why is being a STRAIGHT girl a taboo in the western world?

every time i ask questions why i LOOOOOOVE men so much...people say your a g@y guy. so, basically.....they have NEVER seen a hetero girl. thats why they think im a g@y guy. is it considered bad to be a straight girl in the western world?
